LaPinière Wastewater treatment facility, Laval

Management of physicochemical treatment plant operations designed to treat an average discharge of 240 000 m3/d per second and maximal discharge of 591 600 m3/d (hourly peak) and average discharges of 24 803 kg/d of SS (103 mg/L), of 22 836 kg/d of DBO5 (95 mg/L) and 811 kg/d of total P (3,5 mg/L).  This treatment plant provides service to 245 000 persons.

 

Included in the treatment plant are:

  • Wastewater pumping station;
  • Pre-treatment (4 screens, 4 aerated grit chambers);
  • Primary treatment (6 flocculating tanks and 6 clarifiers);
  • Chemical phosphate removal;
  • UV disinfection;
  • Dewatering and thermal stabilization of sludge;
  • Odour treatment
