Water treatment plant

Water Treatment Plant, Northeast Coast, Venezuela

 

Dessau completed the rehabilitation and construction work required for collecting and treating waste water in the municipalities of Píritu, Puerto Píritu, Lechería and Clarines, in the province of Anzoátegui (Northeast coast of Venezuela). The project was completed in EPCM (Engineering, Purchasing and Construction Management) mode.  Another component of Dessau’s mandate involved structuring the financing package for this project.

 

The project’s major achievements include:

  • Building a 325 l/s capacity primary wastewater treatment plant;
  • Rehabilitating 17 pumping stations;
  • Supplying and installing 5.6 km of pressurized lines;
  • Supplying and installing a 23.4 km gravity collection system;
  • Building a 1 km offshore sewage outfall;
  • Rebuilding a surge chamber;
  • Refurbishing a 4.1 km offshore sewage outfall.
