Cathédrale-Basilique Sainte-Cécile de Salaberry-de-Valleyfield – Restoration and reconstruction of the cathedral (Salaberry-de-Valleyfield) (2004 – in progress): Reconstruction of one of the largest cathedrals in Quebec following a fire that occurred on September 4, 2002. Built in the neo-gothic style and classified as a “minor basilica”, a title which is rare in Canada, by the Vatican in 1991, this building was built in 1934 and has a significant architectural and heritage value, making the choice of interventions important. Housing invaluable works of art, including some that date back to the Middle Ages, the priority was to protect the structure and the interior, installing a new copper roof and making structural repairs.

 

Fabrique Saint-Jean-Baptiste – Reconstruction of primary and secondary electricity distribution systems (Montreal) (1997): Reconstruction of the primary and secondary electricity distribution systems and replace of lighting. Difficulties inherent in replacing the lighting since the nave was more than 100 feet tall. Installing the conduits and wiring in the walls and ceilings in order to preserve the historical character of the building also posed problems
